Sujit, who had recently moved to Texas from Alabama to pursue his dreams, lost his life after his vehicle was swept away by high waters.
Despite the heroic efforts of rescue teams from Bexar and Bandera counties, who located Sujit’s vehicle several miles downstream, he was found hours later, having succumbed to his injuries. The sudden nature of this tragedy has left his friends and family devastated.
The San Antonio Nepalese Association (SANA) has rallied around Sujit’s memory, sharing messages of support and offering a fundraiser to assist with the costs of his final rites. As of today, over $1,250 has been raised through generous donations, with the highest contribution coming from Ruby Shah.
