Lanai, Los Angeles, CA—The Lanai community is grieving the sudden passing of Tammy Bassrey, a dedicated therapist and beloved mother, who passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 14, 2024. Tammy’s warmth and kindness were felt by many, especially in her role as a clinical supervisor, where she made a lasting impact on countless families.
Tammy leaves behind her young daughter, Isabella Bassrey, a joyful 5th grader at Lanai. In the wake of this tragic loss, the community has come together to support Isabella, who will now be living with her cousin, Leslie Huenergardt, and her family, who have taken legal guardianship of her.
To assist with Isabella’s future needs, including her education, a fundraiser has been organized by Victoria Biddle on behalf of Leslie Huenergardt. The fundraiser, titled "In Honor of Tammy Bassrey and Support for Isabella," has already raised $5,651 out of its $20,000 goal, thanks to the generosity of 52 donors.
