Tania Polakow, Caravonica, QLD—Tania Polakow, a cherished wife and mother, has sadly passed away on August 10th after a courageous battle with cancer. Her passing leaves a deep void in the lives of her husband, Paul Polakow, and their two young children, Sasha (9) and Nikita (7).
The past year has been an incredibly difficult journey for the Polakow family. Paul had to leave his work to provide care for Tania and their children, holding onto hope for a miracle that, unfortunately, did not come. With no immediate family in Australia, Paul now faces the daunting task of rebuilding their lives as a single father, all while grappling with substantial financial burdens accumulated during Tania’s illness.
In an effort to navigate these challenging times, Paul has organized a fundraiser to cover funeral expenses, the debts incurred through loans and credit cards used to manage the costs of Tania’s care, and general living expenses during this trying period. As of now, the fundraiser has raised $3,942 AUD out of a $60,000 goal, with contributions from 39 generous donors. The most recent donation of $100 AUD was from Sandra Poletti, while the largest contribution of $800 AUD was from Celia Boudin.
Paul expressed his deep gratitude for the outpouring of support, emphasizing how crucial these donations are for helping his children thrive despite the dark times they are enduring.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Paul, Sasha, and Nikita as they navigate this painful chapter of their lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
