Tequia Monae Nails, Alexandria, VA— Tequia Monae Nails, known lovingly as “Ke-Ke,” passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, in a heartbreaking tragedy. Tequia was a devoted mother of four children, including her newborn twins who were just three months old, as well as her older children aged three and eight.
Her family and community are reeling from the loss of a mother who brought so much love and warmth into their lives. To honor her memory and ensure her children are cared for during this difficult time, a memorial fund has been established. Organized by her sister, Shequetta Chaney, the fundraiser aims to provide for the essential needs of Tequia’s children, including food, clothing, education, and counseling services to help them heal from this profound loss.
As part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Tequia’s family also seeks to raise awareness about the impact of domestic violence, hoping her story will inspire support for this critical cause.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the Nails family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
