Thomas Dawg Murtha, Canyon Lake, TX—The community is deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Thomas Dawg Murtha on Friday, August 30th. Known affectionately as “Dawg,” Thomas was a beloved father, husband, brother, son, and friend. Despite his tough and rugged exterior as a biker, Dawg had a heart full of warmth, always seeking to make others smile, even in the simplest of interactions, like at a McDonald’s drive-through.

Dawg’s passing has left his wife, Cheryl, in a difficult financial situation. The couple relied solely on Social Security Disability as their income, and without life insurance, Cheryl now faces the heavy burden of medical bills, a home in need of major repairs, and the emotional toll of losing her life partner.

In response to this tragedy, a fundraiser has been organized by Nikki Howells to help cover the costs of Dawg’s afterlife services and provide financial support for Cheryl. So far, $1,295 has been raised out of the $20,000 goal, with donations coming from friends and well-wishers, including a generous $1,000 contribution from an anonymous donor.
