Born in Cambodia, Thouch lived through immense hardships, including the Khmer Rouge regime. Before the genocide, she ran a small shop in her homeland, providing for her two sons and daughter. Her determination to support her family remained steadfast even in the most challenging of times. In 1982, Thouch made the brave decision to leave Cambodia, risking everything to give her children a chance at a better life. She successfully made her way to the United States with her two sons, where they began a new life.
Thouch Tep was an embodiment of strength and perseverance. Her life story inspired all who knew her, and her family remembers her as a guiding force, always offering wisdom, comfort, and love. One of the fondest memories her family cherishes is from Halloween 2022, when Thouch, after the family had run out of candy, generously gave money to the children who came by, displaying her kindness.
Her wake will be held on January 3rd, 2025, followed by her funeral on January 4th, 2025. As the family lays her to rest, they are asking for support through prayers, presence, or contributions to help honor her memory.
