Tom Phillips, Central Point, OR— Tom Phillips passed away on September 1, 2024, after he was found unresponsive at his home. His wife, Kelly Phillips, performed CPR for 20 minutes while waiting for EMTs to arrive, who continued life-saving measures for another 40 minutes. Tragically, despite these efforts, Tom was pronounced deceased.
Tom was diagnosed with lupus several years ago, which caused him considerable pain and swelling in his hands and legs in the weeks leading up to his passing. Despite his health challenges, he remained dedicated to providing for his family.
Tom and Kelly shared a beautiful love story that began when they met in middle school. Their deep bond carried them through both the highs and lows of life, raising two children together. Kelly described Tom as her best friend, rock, and protector.
The Phillips family is now facing immense emotional and financial difficulties. Without life insurance or a retirement account, Kelly and their children are struggling to cover final expenses and ongoing costs, including medical care for their son. A fundraiser, organized by Samantha Sturgeon, has been created to help ease the burden of these expenses and give the family time to grieve.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Tom Phillips. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kelly, their children, and the entire Phillips family during this heartbreaking time.
