Trevor Ashton, Bargo, NSW — The community of Bargo is mourning the tragic loss of Trevor Ashton, a young boy who passed away at the tender age of 15 due to a rare brain infection. Trevor, who was previously healthy and full of life, fell ill with the flu and was unfortunately misdiagnosed by paramedics, leading to his untimely death on July 7, 2024.
Trevor’s mother, Sharon, and her friend, Shanene Humphries, have been profoundly affected by his sudden passing. Despite several brain surgeries, doctors were unable to save Trevor’s life. In his final moments, Trevor became a hero by donating his heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, and pancreas, saving the lives of five others.
In an effort to support Trevor’s family during this difficult time, Shanene Humphries has organized a fundraiser to help cover funeral expenses and alleviate the financial burden. The goal is to raise $10,000 AUD. Although the campaign has just begun, the community is encouraged to donate and support the Ashton family.
