Trey Cordie, a beloved figure in Stephenville, TX, has tragically passed away, leaving his family and community heartbroken. Trey, who was just 26 years old, tragically lost his life in a car accident over the weekend on Saturday, October 19th, 2024. Known for his infectious humor and resilience, Trey had recently turned his life around after enduring significant hardships. He was just beginning his career as Program Director at the Mighty 93 in Stephenville, following in the footsteps of his mother, Erin Wilde, who also worked in radio.

Jamie Burke, a family member, expressed the profound grief shared by the community in a touching Facebook post, saying, "My friends, my family is in heartbreak and shock. My step-brother Trey was tragically killed over the weekend in a car accident. He was inspired to follow a career in radio like his mother and my father and battled many hardships before turning his life around. He was a hilarious young man just starting out. Life is unfair."
