Despite the challenges, he worked hard through rehabilitation, managing to regain the ability to walk with a walker and perform daily tasks independently. His family has shared that Troy’s unwavering determination and positive attitude left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
However, in September, Troy’s health took a sudden downturn. After extensive tests and procedures, doctors discovered that he had three lesions, ultimately diagnosed as stage 4 cancer. His condition worsened with complications from failing kidneys and a stomach infection. Despite his best efforts, he passed away, leaving behind his wife Michelle, three children, and three grandchildren.
Due to the unfortunate timing of his life insurance policy, which had not been in effect long enough, his family is struggling to cover funeral expenses. A fundraiser has been set up by his wife, Michelle Dupard, to help with the costs, aiming for a goal of $10,000.
