Wichita, KS—Firefighter Ty Voth, a dedicated and brave member of the Wichita Fire Department, tragically passed away on Thursday while responding to a fire at a modular home in Haysville. Ty Voth, a 27-year-old firefighter with five years of service, was part of the crew on Engine 19 that was assigned to combat the heavy fire.

A fundraiser organized by Melinda Voelker has been set up to support Ty Voth’s family during this difficult time. The fundraiser aims to raise $8,000 to help his family, who are also members of the Salem UM Church family. The community is encouraged to donate and show their support and sympathy.
On Facebook, numerous people have shared their condolences and memories of Ty Voth. Carmine Romeo from the Law Enforcement Medal Of Honor Committee mentioned, “We will award Firefighter Voth our medal and send his family our cover letter, patch, and cards. We are requesting a fire company or firefighter sponsor our medal and honor a fallen hero.”
The Wichita Fire Department, the community, and Ty Voth’s family are feeling the profound loss of a selfless individual who always put others before himself. His legacy as a hero will continue to inspire those who knew him and those who hear his story.
