Vanessa Chester, Youngstown, OH— Vanessa Chester, a beloved air traffic controller at Youngstown Tower and a dedicated U.S. Military veteran, has tragically passed away at the age of 37. Her untimely death has left a deep void in the hearts of her colleagues, friends, and family.

Vanessa was known for her bright spirit, sense of humor, and passion for her work in air traffic control. She was a passionate mentor, dedicated to training and guiding others in the profession she loved. Alongside her career, Vanessa’s greatest joy was raising her two children, Haiden and Heidi, for whom she created wonderful memories, from making costumes for school to decorating their rooms. Her devotion to her family was evident in everything she did.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Vanessa’s children during this difficult time. The fundraiser, organized by Matt Ramer, aims to provide financial assistance to Haiden and Heidi as they navigate the loss of their mother. So far, $50 has been raised.

Emily Ensworth-Smith, a close friend of Vanessa, shared her heartfelt thoughts, saying, "Vanessa was larger than life and her memory will live on in all of those fortunate enough to know her!"
