Boynton Beach, FL—Vera Ivanov Benatovich passed away on July 28th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories. Born in Buffalo, New York, on October 8th, 1952, Vera was the youngest of three sisters in a family that immigrated to the United States in 1950. Her life was marked by deep familial bonds and a love for the simple joys of life.
In 1984, Vera married Theodore (Teddy) Benatovich, and together they moved to Florida, where they adopted two daughters, Alexandra and Anika. Vera’s life was centered around her family, and she treasured the moments spent with her loved ones, whether it was enjoying a cone of ice cream, listening to Sonny and Cher, or taking family trips to Disney World. These moments brought her immense joy and became the foundation of the many memories her family will now hold dear.
Vera passed away surrounded by love, holding on as long as she could, not wanting to leave her daughters. She has been laid to rest at the South Florida Jewish Cemetery, where she joins her beloved husband Teddy.
In honor of Vera’s memory and legacy, her daughter Alexandra Benatovich has organized a fundraiser to support the family and preserve the memories of the strong woman Vera was. The fundraiser, titled "Honoring Vera Ivanov Benatovich: Support Her Legacy," has a goal of $1,000, but as of now, no donations have been made. Alexandra hopes that with support, she can continue to honor her mother’s life and the values she held dear.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Vera Ivanov Benatovich. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.
