Veronica Parker, Barrie, ON—The community is mourning the unexpected loss of Veronica Parker, a treasured colleague at Metro Barrie, who passed away on November 1, 2024, along with her partner, Robert MacDonald. Veronica’s passing has left a profound impact on those who knew her, both personally and professionally.
Veronica began her journey with the Metro family in February 1990, working as a student at Miracle Food Mart in Barrie, later transferring to Orillia A&P in 1993. She joined the Collingwood Metro full-time in 2014 and ultimately became the Assistant Deli Manager at Metro Barrie in 2018. Known for her quick wit, sense of humor, and tireless dedication, Veronica earned the admiration of colleagues and customers alike.
She is survived by her three daughters: Bronte (22), Kiera (20), and Tiffany (17). Funds raised through a campaign organized by Tanisha Gulati will go toward supporting her children during this difficult time. As of today, the fundraiser has gathered $130 CAD from three donors.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Innisfil Funeral Home, located at 7910 Yonge St., Innisfil, ON.
