Walter Amaya, Palmdale, CA—Walter Amaya, a beloved truck driver and family man, has passed away after suffering a brain aneurysm in September 2024. Walter was waiting in his truck to be loaded when the incident occurred. Despite being airlifted to the hospital and receiving critical care for weeks, Walter has now passed away, leaving behind a grieving family and community.
From a young age, Walter dreamed of following in his father’s footsteps as a truck driver. At 18, he earned his CDL, making him a key support to his family. His dedication didn’t stop there, as he later earned a certificate as a Diesel/Industrial Technician from Universal Technical Institute. He co-founded Mesquita Transportation with his father, and through hard work, he achieved great success in his career, always putting his family first.
Walter’s sudden passing has left his family devastated. His sister, Perla Amaya, has organized a fundraiser to support the family in this difficult time. The donations aim to cover medical expenses, household bills, and funeral arrangements. In less than a day, the community has already started contributing, with heartfelt donations coming from friends like Erick Ventura-Iraheta, who contributed $500, and others such as Abraham Martinez and Maria Salinas.
Walter was known not just for his work but for his deep faith and the love he brought into the lives of those around him. His family finds comfort knowing he is now resting in the arms of God.
Our hearts go out to Walter Amaya’s family and friends. May they find strength during this heartbreaking time. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers for healing and peace.
