Wayne was born on June 26, 1981, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to the late Wayne William Schafroth Jr. and the late Linda Gayle (Truesdell) Craig. He graduated from Coal City High School in Coal City, Illinois, in 1999 and had been working as an Oil Refinery Operator for Crystal Clean in Indianapolis for over nine years.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Marie (Pratt) Schafroth, and their daughter, Leena Schafroth. Wayne and Stephanie married on August 27, 2011, and enjoyed camping, concerts, music festivals, and traveling together with their family. He is also survived by his brother, Joshua Truesdell and his wife Erin of Savannah, TN; his nephew, Logan Truesdell of Florence, AZ; and his uncle, David Schafroth of Eddyville, KY.
A fundraiser has been organized by Andrew Keeler to support Wayne’s family with funeral expenses and day-to-day costs as they wait for other insurances to be distributed.
