Wilfred was a devoted father and a well-respected member of his community. He was known for his active involvement in various charitable causes, including environmental groups and organizations supporting health issues like diabetes, a condition he lived with as a type 2 diabetic. Beyond his activism, Wilfred’s love and commitment to his son, Desmond, were unparalleled. After the loss of Desmond’s mother, Susan, to cancer in 2023, Wilfred became an even greater source of strength and companionship to his son, forging a bond that was more akin to friendship than traditional parenthood.
