William Joseph Welch, Chilliwack, BC—It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of William Joseph Welch, a devoted father of two sons, Jaden (18) and Logan (16). William, affectionately known as Will, tragically lost his life in a motor vehicle accident during the Thanksgiving weekend. His unexpected death has left a significant void in the lives of his children and all who knew him.
Will was a man who always put his family first, dedicating his life to ensuring his sons were well-provided for and cared for. Friends and family have come together in this difficult time to support Jaden and Logan as they navigate this profound loss.
A fundraiser organized by Natalie Rodrigues is raising support to help the family with private search and rescue costs, funeral expenses, and the boys’ future needs, including education and support services. Rick and Natalie Giesler made the first and top donation of $500, while Goretti Rodrigues also contributed $100, helping the effort to reach its goal.
Several touching tributes have been shared on social media, highlighting the impact Will had on those around him. Natalie Giesler expressed her gratitude, saying, "Will Welch was always the first to jump in and help this way for previous family tragedies, trying to repay the favour and help take care of his boys in this trying time." Leisell Jarrett sent her "deepest heartfelt condolences to you, your family, and friends that were close to him." Fatima Novix added, "I can see him smiling in approval…and saying…Thanks Beautiful cousin."
The community’s outpouring of love and support is a testament to the person Will was, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
We offer our deepest condolences to William Joseph Welch’s family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
