William Neil, Belleville, MI— The community is in deep sorrow following the sudden passing of William Neil. On July 27, 2024, Neil experienced severe back pain. While his wife, Dawn, was rushing him to the hospital, he began to lose consciousness. Despite her efforts to perform CPR and the emergency response team’s attempts to resuscitate him, Neil succumbed to a massive heart attack.
Neil’s unexpected death has left his family and friends devastated. His wife, Dawn, is now faced with the financial burden of covering the costs of his cremation and memorial service, as Neil did not have health or life insurance. The expenses, managed by David C Brown Funeral Home in Belleville, total $6,000, with $4,500 needed for funeral home and cremation services and $1,500 for the memorial service.
To help alleviate these costs, Amber Gould has organized a fundraiser. As of now, $1,175 has been raised through seven generous donations. Contributors include Amy Gibaldi ($25), Linda LeVangie ($200), Robin Goodman ($500), Lisa Laska ($100), and Barbara Miller ($200).
The community’s outpouring of support is a testament to the impact Neil had on those around him. Memorial service arrangements are still pending, and further details will be shared as they become available.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of William Neil. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dawn and the entire family during this difficult time.
