Michael David Thorkildsen, Beloved Community Member and Cherished Family Figure, Passes Away at 26 in Salt Lake City, UT
The Salt Lake City community mourns the loss of Michael David Thorkildsen, who passed away on March 24, 2026, at the age of 26. Born on April 19, 1999, in Jackson, Wyoming, Michael was remembered for his kindness, warmth, and the joy he brought to everyday moments with family and friends.
Michael is survived by his wife Samantha, his parents Stacy and John, his sisters Megan and Lindsey, his brother-in-law Tim, and his niece Georgia and nephew Luke. Many other family members and friends also cherish his memory.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Larkin Mortuary, with a viewing held on Tuesday, March 31st from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. The funeral service took place at 12:00 PM at Larkin Mortuary, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy, UT.
