Nathan Switzer, 19-Year-Old Alexis Resident, Remembered After June 1, 2026 Warren County Intersection Crash With Semi-Truck
Nathan Switzer, a 19-year-old resident of Alexis, died after a crash on Monday, June 1, 2026, at a rural intersection in Warren County, Illinois.
Authorities said the crash happened around 11:30 a.m. at 245th Avenue and 120th Street in Kelly Township.
Investigators reported that a gray Ford Fusion entered the intersection and failed to yield before a black Peterbilt truck-tractor semi-trailer struck it.
Nathan Switzer drove the Ford Fusion and received fatal injuries, while officials said the semi-truck driver had no injuries.
Warren County Coroner Al McGuire confirmed the death at the scene as emergency crews responded and investigators reviewed the damaged vehicles.
Illinois State Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
