Sandra Barker, 67, Remembered After Fatal Head-On Crash On U.S. Route 27 In Pendleton County, Kentucky
Sandra Barker, 67, died after a head-on crash around 9 p.m. on Friday in the 2600 block of U.S. Route 27 south of Falmouth, according to Kentucky State Police.
Investigators said Barker drove a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox northbound before the vehicle crossed the median and entered the opposing lane.
A 2018 Ram truck, driven by a 57-year-old man, approached from the opposite direction when the collision occurred.
The Pendleton County Coroner’s Office pronounced Barker gone at the scene after emergency crews responded with assistance from multiple agencies.
Two juvenile passengers in the Ram truck suffered serious injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals, while their conditions were not publicly released.
Authorities continue to review road conditions and other possible factors as they work to determine why the vehicle crossed the median.
