Ashland Community Mourns Terrence McSally, 64, After I-93 North Collision Near Mile Marker 77.2
Terrence McSally, 64, of Ashland, New Hampshire, died Monday morning, May 25, 2026, after a collision during the early commute on Interstate 93 North.
The incident happened around 7 a.m. near mile marker 77.2 and involved McSally’s 2011 Chevrolet Traverse and a northbound box truck.
Authorities said the SUV moved onto the rumble strips, then returned sharply to the right before contact with the box truck in the adjacent lane.
The SUV then crossed the roadway, left the highway, and struck a rock in the median.
Passing drivers stopped to help, and an off-duty Concord firefighter began CPR before paramedics arrived.
McSally, the only person in the SUV, was taken to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, where officials later pronounced McSally dead.
The box truck driver, Matthew Petz, 35, of Plymouth, was not hurt.
State police closed the left northbound lane for about two hours, and the investigation remains open.
Memorial and funeral service details will be announced later by family members.
