Danny Redding, a devoted security guard at Oak Hills High School, tragically passed away on June 25th, 2025, leaving his family, friends, and the Oak Hills community in mourning. Danny, who worked for over 30 years at the school, was known for his warm presence and dedication to the students, earning him the affectionate nickname "Deputy Dog."
Danny’s family has expressed deep sorrow at his sudden passing. His brother, James Osborn, shared that Danny had been an integral part of their family for 58 years, creating lasting memories with his children and grandchildren.
"Danny was always there for me, and for the rest of our family. His kindness, humor, and love for others will be missed by all of us," James wrote in a heartfelt tribute.
His wife, Sue, is currently facing financial hardship as she arranges for Danny’s cremation and memorial service. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist with funeral expenses, which have added to the already difficult situation.
Danny will be remembered for his service to the community and the joy he brought to the lives of those around him.
