It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenyan David Nelson, who left this world on June 26th, 2025, at the age of 24. Kenyan’s untimely departure has left family, friends, and the community in deep sorrow.
Kenyan was born on November 13th, 2000, and grew up in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, where they were known for their warm heart and kind spirit. Survived by their parents, Steven Nelson (Sandi Bondhus) and Kimberly Briggs (Dave Wolf), as well as siblings Sierrah Nelson, Riley Wolf, Dacotah Wolf, Savannah Wolf, Zoe Speikers, and Halle Speikers, Kenyan’s presence will be sorely missed.
Kenyan’s grandparents, Astrid Nelson, David and Linda Nelson, George Briggs, Tom and Janette Wolf, also mourn this loss, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Their deep affection for Kenyan will never fade.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Kok Funeral Home, Cottage Grove, MN, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
Family, friends, and all who knew Kenyan are invited to come together to remember and honor their life.
