Melanie Degrazio, 43, tragically lost her life in the early morning hours of July 4th after being struck by a vehicle on Market Street in Wilmington, NC.
Wilmington Police responded to a 911 call just before 12:30 a.m. regarding the incident, arriving at the scene to find Melanie deceased. Authorities have identified the driver involved but have not disclosed their identity or custody status.
The incident is being investigated by the Wilmington Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit.
Friends and family are left in shock, mourning the sudden loss of a loved one. Melanie’s vibrant presence and the warmth she brought to those around her will be deeply missed.
