David DeMar Nielsen Jr. Of Richmond, Utah, Remembered After Passing Away At 61 Following A Serious Infection
David DeMar Nielsen Jr., 61, of Richmond, Utah, passed away on May 11, 2026, after being life flighted on Saturday, May 9, to a Murray hospital for treatment of a serious infection.
Family members shared that doctors worked to help DeMar, and loved ones remained close during the final moments.
DeMar was born on May 23, 1964, in Malad, Idaho, to David DeMar Nielsen Sr. and Marjorie Ward.
DeMar graduated from Malad High School in May 1982, served in the England Leeds Mission in 1984, and later built a long working life in construction, furniture work, and auto repair for more than 30 years.
DeMar shared 35 years of marriage with Jordana and helped raise three children, Jordan, Shaylee, and Braydon “Bubba.”
A fundraiser organized by Braydon Nielsen had raised $180 of a $9K goal through 5 donations for funeral costs, medical bills, and family needs.
