Eric Laning, a cherished family member and mentor, passed away in March 2026, leaving behind a profound legacy of love, loyalty, and dedication to those around him. Known for his fierce pride in his family and his unwavering support for those in need, Eric's death has left a hole in the hearts of many.
Eric was a deeply committed individual, always there for his loved ones and his community. Whether cheering on his children at the pool or enjoying a peaceful moment with his partner on a cruise boat, Eric treasured the simple joys of life. His passion for helping others extended to his career in the environmental sector, where he worked tirelessly to mentor and guide the next generation of radiation control technicians (RCTs). His legacy continues through a fund established by his family and his longtime employer, PermaFix-Environmental Services, to support aspiring RCTs in need of certification and job placement.
