Leopoldo Iribe Remembered After Passing On May 27 As Family Seeks Funeral And Travel Support For Final Farewell In Badiraguato, Sinaloa
Leopoldo Iribe passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday night, May 27, after Type 1 diabetes led to severe health complications, including kidney disease, heart failure, fluid in the lungs, and other serious conditions.
Known lovingly as Tío Polo, Leopoldo Iribe was cherished as a spouse, parent, family member, and friend whose presence brought meaning to many lives.
A fundraiser created on June 1, 2026, by Francisca Lara on behalf of Martha Iribe has raised $320 toward a $30,000 goal through 5 donations.
The family hopes to honor Leopoldo Iribe’s final wish to return home to Badiraguato, Sinaloa, for burial among familiar roots and loved ones.
