Nichlas Ballard, Beloved Father and Fiancé, Tragically Passes Away After Motorcycle Accident in Smithville, MO
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Nichlas "Nick" Ballard on March 24th. Nick, a loving father and fiancé, was struck from behind by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle.
Nick, who had recently celebrated five years of sobriety, was known for his incredible warmth, kindness, and sense of humor. He brought light and laughter into the lives of everyone around him. His fiancée Maura and their three children now face an unimaginable loss, both emotionally and financially.
A friend shared, "Nick was an amazing person who could light up any room. His heart was always full of love for his family and friends." The community has rallied around Maura and the family, offering support in this difficult time.
In a final act of generosity, Nick was also an organ donor, and his life continues to save the lives of three others.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist Maura with funeral expenses and the challenges ahead.
