Steve Rossner, a cherished member of the community and a beloved radio personality at 97.3 The Eagle, tragically passed away on October 8, 2025, following a prolonged battle with major health complications. Steve’s sudden passing has left the Comox Valley community heartbroken, as he was known for his warm, engaging presence both on-air and in person.

Steve's wide circle of friends and listeners will remember him for his infectious laughter at Karaoke nights, his strategic mind at poker tables, and his deep commitment to those around him. His presence behind the microphone connected with many, and his kindness and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

His longtime companion, Sheila, was by his side through every challenge, offering unwavering support as they traveled together to various medical appointments across the region.
