Sioux City Woman Paula Victoria Lopez-Perez, 54, Dies in Tragic Rollover Crash on Interstate 29
Sioux City is mourning the loss of 54-year-old Paula Victoria Lopez-Perez, who tragically passed away Thursday night in a solo vehicle crash on Interstate 29.
The incident occurred just after 10:15 p.m. on March 5, 2026, near mile marker 149, north of the Hamilton Boulevard exit. Authorities responded to the scene, where they found Paula’s 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt overturned in a shallow ditch. Despite immediate efforts by emergency responders, Paula was pronounced dead at the scene.
Known for her warmth and kindness, Paula’s death has left a deep void in the community. Friends and neighbors remember her as a friendly and dependable presence who always greeted others with a smile.
