Sergio Manwoo Dias, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, leaving his family and community in mourning. Born on March 23, 1998, in Queens, NY, Manwoo was known for his vibrant personality, deep compassion, and unwavering strength, despite the health challenges he faced throughout his life.

Growing up, Manwoo made an impact on everyone he encountered with his infectious smile and ability to lift others up. He had a love for sports, particularly cheering on the New York Mets and supporting soccer teams from Peru and Brazil. Music also played a significant role in his life, with genres like salsa, cumbia, and reggaeton always close to his heart.

A proud individual with strong Peruvian and Brazilian roots, Manwoo was always eager to share his culture with those around him. He recently graduated from Berkeley College with a degree in criminal justice, driven by his desire to make a positive difference in the world.

Manwoo leaves behind his parents, Auria and Sergio, his sisters Stephanie and Jasmine, and his dog Lily. His passing has left a deep void, but his memory continues to inspire love and kindness.
