Sorin Cash Remembered as Mensing Family Receives Community Support After Recent Loss Before Expected Due Date
The Mensing family is mourning Sorin Cash, a cherished baby who died just one day before the expected due date, according to a memorial fundraiser created on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Grace Newell organized the fundraiser titled Honor Sorin Cash & Support the Mensing Family to help Ellie and Alex Mensing with funeral costs, burial expenses, family stability, and income support during this difficult period.
The fundraiser had raised $2,930 of its $7,500 goal through 23 donations at the time of the post.
Sorin’s family had spent months preparing for the baby’s arrival, and two siblings had looked forward to welcoming a new member of the family.
The family plans to announce obituary and memorial service details at a later time.
