Jacob Ballard, aged 37, tragically lost their life in a shooting on Saturday night, March 29, 2026, in Benzie County, leaving family, friends, and the community in mourning.

The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. at a home along the 14000 block of Hall Avenue in Thompsonville, where deputies from the Benzie County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Ballard deceased at the scene.
